On Thursday, December 7th, S.T.E.M. students at Passaic County Community College heard a presentation by Chris Urbane about his experiences working at the Volvo Truck plant in Virginia. Discussion topics included the role of industrial automation in manufacturing, and how it can improve material flow while removing human error. The presentation was followed by a question and answer session.
On March 14th, the Roanoke and Virginia Tech student APICS chapters gathered at Preston’s Restaurant with ASQ Radford-Roanoke for dinner, discussion, and a presentation offering guidance on how to create an effective cover letter for students and young adults entering the workplace.
